When a rich card is worth it, what happens on phones without RCS, and branded sender profiles.
RCS should fall back to SMS when the handset or carrier cannot show a rich card. TVL plans that fallback copy before the campaign, not after delivery fails. A carousel that becomes a broken link in plain text is worse than sending SMS first.
RCS is worth it when the user needs to tap a button, see a product or trust a branded sender. A six-word OTP is still SMS. TVL uses RCS for offers, order tracking and service menus. Cost follows capability; do not upgrade every alert.
RCS can carry images, video and carousels in the native thread. TVL sizes those assets for mobile data, not a desktop film. Suggested replies sit under the card so the next step is a tap, not a typed keyword.
RCS suggested replies handle the next step in-thread: confirm, track, talk to a person. They do not replace a checkout site. TVL keeps deep links for anything that needs a cart or a login. The thread is for the choice, not the full catalog.
Branded RCS profiles show a name and logo after the sender is verified with the operator and the CPaaS provider. TVL files that, then tests the card on a real device. Unverified senders look like SMS with extra steps.
